The CLAY COURT starts with kipchumba Murkomen

Clay Muganda, the renown newspaper columnist who for close to a decade has been running his column 'CLAY COURT'  in the daily nation premiered recently in the sunday standard. This is his first column after shifting allegiance from the NMG owned paper. In his first column, he lashed out at Kipchumba Murkomen in a piece titled 'CAN THE REAL KIPCHUMBA MURKOMEN PLEASE COME BACK'' below is part of his column.

Months before last year’s General Elections, a young lawyer used to bedazzle Kenyans with his crisp explanation of the 2010 Constitution and all matters law whenever he was on national television. Kenyans, who had voted for the Constitution because their leaders said so even though they did not understand it were being schooled and whenever the young lawyer was breaking down the chapters, sections and sub-sections of the Constitution, many were probably taking notes. Never in the history of independent Kenya had a young man showed his mastery of the country’s supreme law; never had a sober-minded fellow appeared on Prime Time which was hitherto reserved only for political analysts, those talking heads who drone on and on and until the cows came home, and presenters stop shouting at viewers. He was a breath of fresh air in the smelly airwaves which had been taken over by tribal bigots, venal satraps and know it all third rate political science lecturers who did not make sense even to themselves. That bright fellow who had put pretenders to the throne of legalese in their rightful dustbin of history was none other than Kipchumba Murkomen who later declared on national TV that he was joining elective politics by contesting a senatorial post in Elgeyo Marakwet — which he won and became Senator Kipchumba Murkomen. This new Senator Kipchumba Murkomen nowadays appears on TV and in political rallies and almost every other place where politicians shout themselves hoarse and he is a pale shadow of that young gentleman of a lawyer who was so loved by viewers. See also: Uhuru: Let’s go slow on politics, focus on growth The new Kipchumba Murkomen is not interesting one bit. He does not make sense and sounds worse than the politicians who went around the country telling people not to read the 2010 Constitution because they had read it for them and decided that it was bad or good, depending on which side of the cover they were on. Oh, how I wish that old Kipchumba Murkomen would come back and put to shame this new Kipchumba Murkomen who is increasingly proving that failure has gone to his head.

Ruto Visit to Marakwet Ignites Uproar on Bad Roads

Marakwets took to the social media yesterday and earlier today  ahead of the Deputy Presidents visit today. The poor roads condition which has negatively impacted on the economy of the area reigned.
A big chunk of Elgeyo Marakwet county has for a long time lagged behind in almost all aspects of life due to what has repeatedly been termed has government negligence.

The Deputy President will today lead  a JOYWO style women initiative fund raiser organized by Marakwet West constituency first lady in Moi Kapsowar Girls. It however still remains vague whether he will say anything concerning the myriads of tribulations that have been brought by the region's dilapidated roads.

There had earlier been a word that Iten- Kapsowar roads was up for tarmacking but that just remained what it was, a word.

There has however nothing worth depending on from the Area Governor, A. Tolgos and the vocal senator Murkomen.

Sammy Kiplimo wrote
"Do not be deceived. The presence of William Ruto is of no significance if the fundraising he is attending is to help individual person attain the status which Abraham Maslow calls self-actualisation.
Inasmuch as our roads still remain wet , nothing good about him will I mention.
Those erratic and bootlickers can say what they can say but for me will say Ruto is not a good leader.
I request those job seekers from Marakwet to demonstrate in the town of Kapsowar as a sign of discontent."

Steve Lauryen said  "The Deputy President will be in town (read Kapsowar) today for a fundraiser. I hope our leaders won't forget to put him to task on the road issue"

Abraham Kisut lamented " Barabara kwanza.....DP"
